The Problem Life Cycle

Regardless of your role in the problem management process, ChangeGear uses a work flow status bar to represent each of the process stages a problem report must go through before it is successfully resolved and closed. The work flow tracks the entire process from the submission of a problem report (New) throughout the life cycle until the problem is successfully closed (Closed).

Each problem report includes a record of the requester and the initial details of the problem. If you decide that the problem is more serious, you can promote it to an RFC.
