Implementing RFCs

During the implementation phase of a change request, you and other assignees can provide a detailed account of your implementation activities (referred to as tasks). For example, you can record a description of the task, identify the person who performed it, and account for its cost in time and effort. You can also update the status of each task as you take it from start to completion.

During the implementation phase of the change request, you may need to perform several tasks such as testing, deployment, and training. Before you can have the change request moved from In-Progress to Review, the testing and deployment must be successfully completed. In ChangeGear, the QA process and deploying the change request are part of the implementation process. These two activities are documented in the Release tab.

Tip: If the change request is significant or major, you may need assistance to complete the implementation. ChangeGear allows you retain ownership of the change request while you create and delegate tasks to as many task owners as needed for its implementation.
