Using the SSP Home Page

ChangeGear's Self-Service Portal is a gateway to the services your organization offers. You can quickly access important information and links regarding the incident requests you have made. It can also offer a quick self-service area to Request Help (create an incident), search tickets, view service announcements, and look up Knowledge Base articles to troubleshoot services.

NOTE: Your Self-Service Portal may appear differently than the following default example, depending on your ChangeGear configuration and role privileges.

  • The Search text box allows you to search a variety of ChangeGear modules including Incidents and the Knowledge Base.
  • The Announcements widget highlights the published/scheduled announcements derived from the Announcement Portal.
  • The Popular Solutions widget shows published articles on the Knowledge Base that have received top ratings from users.
  • The Resources widget links you to various internal and third-party websites.
  • The Service Requests widget shows various views of your help, service, and change requests.
  • The Help Requests widget allows you to submit requests, view the Knowledge Base, or contact Support.
