Using the SSP Workspace

The Self-Service Portal (SSP) workspace is where users interact with agents to ask questions, request assistance, or complete tasks.

From the SSP workspace, users can:

  • Find available agents

  • Start conversations with agents

  • View responses generated by agents

  • Review previous conversations

The workspace provides a single interface for interacting with agents that are available to the user through configured channels.

Key Areas of the Workspace

The SSP workspace includes several areas that help users locate and interact with agents.

Agent List

The agent list displays the agents available to the user. These agents are configured and published by administrators. Users can browse or search the list to find an agent that can assist with a specific task or request.

Selecting an agent opens a conversation with that agent.

Conversation Area

The conversation area is where users interact with an agent. Users can enter questions or requests, and the agent responds within the conversation thread. The conversation continues as the user and agent exchange messages.

Agents may provide:

  • Answers to questions

  • Guidance for completing tasks

  • Responses generated from connected systems or tools

Conversation History

The SSP workspace stores previous conversations with agents.

Users can access their conversation history to:

  • Review past interactions

  • Continue a previous conversation

  • Reference information provided by an agent

Conversation history helps users return to earlier requests without starting a new interaction.

Agent Availability

The agents displayed in the SSP workspace depend on how the system is configured.

Administrators control:

  • Which agents are published

  • Which channels expose those agents

  • Which users can access them

As a result, users only see agents that are available to them in the SSP.
